ABOUT LORI
Thanks for visiting! Here is a little about how my journey in photography began.
My love for photography began long before I knew that it would become my full-time career. As long as I can remember, I've had a love for art and I've always been drawn to photos. I began pursuing photography during high school using a darkroom that my dad built for me in the garage. What started as a hobby has become a lifelong passion.
I attended the University of Montevallo and earned a BFA in art and photography and immediately began working in the field after I graduated in 2004. I have done literally thousands of portrait sittings during the course of my career. I opened my own business in 2008. I feel very blessed to have been able to turn my passion into a career.
While I enjoy all types of photography, my biggest passion has always been photographing children and families. I've been specializing in newborn photography for over 10 years. Nothing brings me more joy than to know that I made someone happy with not only their photos but with their entire experience.
My other passion in life is music (almost all genres). I'm always listening to music when I edit photos. I also enjoy spending time with my family. I'm married to the absolute love of my life and best friend and we have a beautiful daughter and a spirited little boy.
I also enjoy shooting frequently for Heart Gallery Alabama, a local organization that helps foster children find their forever families. It's very rewarding to be a small part of the process. Check them out here: heartgalleryalabama.com
